Today we celebrate one of the most important national days in India –Independence Day.

We celebrate the spirit of freedom that was conveyed to Indians through the beautiful words of our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru on 15th August 1947 – 'All of us have been brought up to believe that freedom is indivisible. You are free to go to the cinema. You are free to drink any type of beer or wine. You can belong to the party of your choice, have a job of your choice and so on. But I have always believed that freedom is not free. Freedom has a cost. And the freedom that we are discussing today is not merely political, it is economic and social as well. For it has real value in itself'
